I welcome you to the Chrysalis Counseling & Coaching site! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the state of Florida. I hold a BS (Hons), an MBA and an MA in Counseling. When I graduated from my counseling program, I was awarded “Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year”, not only because of my academic achievements, but also because I was considered to have the personality traits, attitudes and skills sets that make for a successful counselor! 

I bring a very unique perspective to the counseling process; my life and my work experiences have been varied, and rich. I have traveled extensively, and have lived and worked in Africa, across Europe, and in Canada and the United States. My career background includes science research, teaching, and over ten years as an award winning sales and marketing executive with a multinational Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. 

You may wonder what my background has in common with my career as a therapist. The constant theme in my life and career has been my concern for the well-being of others, and my love of imparting information and new insights that encourage people to live better and more rewarding lives. As a researcher, as a teacher, as a pharmaceutical sales and marketing executive, and now as a mental health counselor, I have done this for almost 25 years! Chrysalis Counseling & Coaching was founded out of this long-held vision of mine.

I am a therapist that is empathetic, compassionate, and genuine. I use several therapeutic styles, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy, as well as Biblical principles. I am personally committed to lead a Christ-centered life. I believe in the sanctity and dignity of human life, and that there is a purpose and meaning to everyone’s life. I believe in restoring broken relationships to a healthy place, if possible. 

I live with my family in Davenport, Florida. My husband is a physician with the Heart of Florida Ob-Gyn Associates, in Davenport, FL.

Chrysalis Counseling & Coaching provides faith-based and professional mental health services to individuals, couples and families, so that they can grow to fulfill their God-given purposes, through building strong and healthy relationships with God, with themselves, and with their loved ones.

I provide practical, effective counseling that addresses the cognitive, emotional, relational and spiritual needs of my clients. I integrate psychological and Biblical principles, to teach my clients to better cope with the challenges of life. Psychology has uncovered truths that are consistent with long established biblical principles. For this reason, the two may often work in unison.
